It’s the perfect solution for the hard surface interiors many places are being designed with now.

It just seems that many places (and not just in Vegas) have this belief that unless you bombard your patrons with non-stop noise, they might not think that they are having a good time. I have found that some places are too loud for me even if I wear earplugs.
That STK at the Cosmo is at the top of the list does not surprise me, as my group booked a dinner there a few years ago, despite knowing that I have issues with noise. I was at my seat for all of 30 seconds before I was forced to leave.
I’m pleased that I am not the only one who recognizes that this is an issue.

So, you could use your conversations with your travel companions on board to estimate what meals with them might be like.

If you can’t handle elevated sound/music then I would suggest not dining in a Vegas hotspot. There are literally hundreds of restaurants in Vegas and the complainers will inevitably choose the trendy hot spots. It’s a no-brainer that these popular places will be louder than a normal chain restaurant in the suburbs. It’s Vegas so maybe the dude who wears earplugs for a fancy dinner (date deal breaker) should consider an early bird special at Denny’s

Why do people clamor for that? I don’t get it. Thankfully the joints I go to…nothing too fancy, are generally quiet. It’s good to be a low roller.

I intentionally seek out places that are low decibel; the whole point of restos and lounges is to be able to have conversations and be social, you can’t do that when Drake is blasting in your ear. Clubs are clubs, you expect loud there, fine dining, bars and lounges: keep the damn music at ambiance levels.

I have given feedback to many managers but only get the response of that’s how we have it and nobody else complains except me. I have made it a habit to have earplugs when I plan to eat out. I was on Fremont Street last week and the light show music seemed to be 3 times the decibel level it was at a point prior. I was wearing earplugs and it was still too damn loud so I ducked into the Four Queens until it was over. All of it is unnecessary and ridiculous.
