I don’t see any single nightclub making enough cash to keep the casino in the red. sure it’s a money maker and the profit margin is huge but, there’s a lot of cost in running a giant property and you need to stuff that gaming floor with lots of bodies and credit cards to keep the lights on. Just don’t see how Fontain sets itself apart from the competition. Service, cheap food, loose gaming?

Hmmm, wonder if the DJ at LIV is so good he can Lure high rolling, stupid, “im a big shot spender” from all the other nightclubs? There’s an awful lot of competition in the best place to party market. maybe buy one $2000 bottle of vodka and get the second one for half price. you know, something cheap to sway drunks.

It’s said that it costs 8 times more to acquire a new customer than it does to retain an existing one. So, the database is very valuable if you work it, and is indispensable off strip. I think the pandemic emboldened some, tho. The seniors, locals, internationals, and whales vanished. And were back-filled with revenge travelers who were new. Suddenly, the strip was stuffed with guests the resorts didn’t have to work to acquire, although off-strip is still a repeat model. That may have encouraged Fontainebleau. Also, maybe Resorts World was relieved to vacate some DJ contracts, as money may be tightening.

So Fontainebleau has “lured” Tiesto and Zedd away from Resorts World….Considering what they get paid, you have to wonder who came out ahead on that one.
