I HATE Station Casinos for ditching their buffets. They were good and cheap. M Resort is nice but a little pricy, Luxor by the way has the WORST in town. The key is finding the right mix of price and quality which Stations did. Even my fav. casino Fiesta Henderson(RIP) had a great champagne brunch on weekends for like $10. Covid was just the excuse the executives needed to cut out all the fun things that got us in the door but maybe didn’t make them much money.

Nothing says “resort” (or resort fee) like no room service, paid parking, no maid service, and marginal service.

I guess bringing the Raiders in was a good move if you enjoy Raiders’ fans. Won’t be going back soon.

….and that’s just it, you clearly don’t get it. You clearly dont get the comparison of what was and what is now. Pathetic

Very spot on! Went back to Vegas a couple weeks ago. We planed to enjoy REAL fine dining there like we used to enjoy there years ago. But it is gone! Instead, food halls and casual restaurants everywhere. Customers seems not to bother to dress up to go out to eat. Customer service is not attentive anymore due to shortage or tip or whatever.

I don’t think we will return anytime soon.

I definitely agree that vacationing in Vegas is very different than when I vacation in Mexico. I was staying at the STRAT this past weekend. I did not see not see one worker after check-in. It really felt like an independent service. However, there was so much you can do in the hotel including the many restaurants available to dine in that I was not too concerned about room service.

We have record revenue on very narrow margins. The money is there, but the profits aren’t. And our old profit margins aren’t expected to return any time soon. Caesars had record revenue in Q1 and still lost $680 million. Wynn is losing $20 million a month. The NFL draft was a good example. What a bust! Grand opening weekend at the Palms, and their top high-roller suite was only booked for 1 night (a thursday). The hottest new eats in town: celebrity fast-casual restaurants. Vegas is adjusting to a high revenue low profit guest.

I recently stayed a couple nights at the Excalibur Hotel unfortunately I lost my wallet with my credit card but fortunately I had cash, I went to the valet to get my car but since I did not have a credit card but mind you I was carrying a few hundred dollars cash the valet would not give me my car until I threatened to call the police department at which time Excalibur security showed up who the valet attendant call Shanghai was trying to scam them out of paying my parking I will never go back to this casino again

The point here is new guest generations , most of they don’t care about quality service . People coming in bunches to hotel rooms , in the 2 bed rooms sleeps 8 guests , buy food in 7 elevens, and don’t order the costly room service food. Casinos inflate prices because they are not interested in provided food to your room by a not profit department. Vegas has changed for bad , every thing is charged now , parking , drinks overpriced, no more the nice overcrowded betting rooms ( now is internet app ) strip is plague with homeless people , the casinos has removing games that are not suitable, dealers are replacing for electronic tables , etc.
But , people don’t care , they still paying higher cost with less quality service . Welcome ton the new generation that don’t appreciate the old Vegas !
