Shame to see. I know that building is one that’s had several interested purchasers and I wonder if that’s played a role. Rumor was 7th & Carson was looking at a potential relocation at one point.

VegeNation was always pretty busy whenever I walked by, and we went pretty often (monthly). Aside from maybe rents being increased past sustainability, it’s hard to imagine they “failed.”

NOT A SHOCK… LOTS OF PLACES TO EAT IN A CONCENTRATED AREA, AND WHEN IT GETS POPULAR, RENTS INCREASE BECAUSE EVERYBODY WANTS TO BE THERE. LOTS OF RESTAURANTS FAIL. SO THIS IS NO SHOCK. I MEAN, HOW MUCH CAN THE MARKUP BE ON EGGPLANT?
