  Good God, how much more is CIM going to pump into Downtown Grand? There is no way they can be profitable, I don't think I've ever seen more than like 25 people in the casino. I find it hard to believe that the casino is that empty, but their current room inventory is booked to capacity. They have to be in it for about $250M at this point ($100M to buy the Lady Luck building, $100M in renovations and countless re-branding and renovation of the restaurants, pool deck, players club, parking garages, etc.) and building a new hotel tower with about 500 rooms will probably cost another $40-50M.

  Yeah, they've invested a lot. This is the one area where Downtown Grand is killing it, so it's a good investment as measured by ROI. Something like an expanded casino would be wildly stupid.

  I listened. Interesting recap of the news and info of Vegas. I follow the product most days, so I feel like the podcast was more of a recap of the week that was. I suppose you can't interview restaurant gurus every week. Or hookers. I get that Hackashaq is an exciting name in Vegas nightlife, but nothing they do is of the least bit interest to me. I feel so all alone, eating casserole, listenting to a podcast. I think I've lost that loving feeling....

  Only an hour? Somebody is getting lazy in his old age... that or he's spending too much time eating casserole. If it has a crust, sauce and cheese: it's casserole. A Vital Vegas exclusive!
